Evening doodle from Oliver Twist movie. Tons of really nice references for studying light and color!
Love the way this came out. The textures you used, and the lighting and colors are superb!
I really like how you handled the light. You did a great job of giving the viewer the sense that the candlelight is bouncing off the subject while hinting at a fire or more candlelight behind him.
nice brush work, is this the 2005 or 2007 version?
Wow This is next level art! The lighting is so real.
This is just absolutely beautiful. I can just feel the warmth radiating off the image Lovely work!
AAGAAHGGGHH!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!! I especially love the lighting!
Looking awesome! Love the rough brushwork!
Really nice work, particularly with the lighting.
Very impressive. Eastern european boy before or during the revolutions after the Great War?
really nice work for a speed painting! I thought it was an oil painting until I read your tags. Very impressive!
I wish I had something more intelligent to say but: incredible! Love how the detail is only there where absolutely necessary. Fantastic control over your values
Love that movie, even if they leave out half the book's characters and change his identity.
Whereas your excellent fantasy work is by far the most popular, and I admit to being a huge fan; Every now and then you drop in a 'study' that is so exquisite and accomplished as to be beyond words. The 'oils effect' brush strokes and candle lit surrounds are perfect. So impressive.
